Sofina: Primvista Ange Long Keep Base UV

I bought this from Taiwan's Watson's last year as it comes with cute Hello Kitty recycle bag. 

Just couldn't resist the kitty design. It comes with the powder as well but I don't use much make-up these days so I hardly use it. 

Look at the lower part of my hand and you can see this fake white and the texture is pretty bad for a makeup base. As I am fairly white, after applying this, I feel that I looked like ghost plus the colour is so fake and it kind look like it cracks between the lines and gaps of my skin. Imagine all the lines, smile lines, double eyelid, below the eyes, all over the face with uneven tone and super fake white look. Which is why I rather show you my hand in the picture as example. 

Definitely this will be the first and last time that I am using this brand's make up products. It's now in the bin after these photoshoot. 😜

I feel, don't waste your time and money on it, knowing there is a high chance you would regret after buying.

Makeup Base - Taiwan Magic Shop

The makeup base from Taiwan Magic Shop is so far the best that I had used in my life. With the demo that I mentioned in my previous post, it is this particular product that's creating the magical effect of smooth foundation application. It provides my skin with a superb smooth surface which is perfect for a makeup base, to prepare it for either BB cream finish or normal foundation finishing.

The feeling after applying this makeup base when I touched my skin is.. Wow.. it's actually so smooth to touch and my fingers almost just glide through! It has a slight powdery effect after I finished my application which is pretty similar to the "Skin Refinishing Lotion" from Amway Artistry. But of course, the usage is totally different. It's now an important part of my usual morning makeup routine.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars! It's just a pity that it's only sold at Taiwan.. so that means I need to go there to buy again when I ran out. I wonder how long will it last me per bottle.

Mousse Foundation - Taiwan Magic Shop

The mousse foundation from Taiwan Magic Shop somehow doesn't seems to be as great as what the sales person had described it to be, especially when it was used alone by itself on top of other moisturizer brands. It was after I used the makeup base that I finally realized what's the magic behind that "better" makeup which she demonstrated on me. 

However, even when I did apply this product with the makeup base, it wasn't as "magical" as how the sales person had presented to me. It's pretty much diluted in a way and the color was pretty yellowish with no coverage at all. So I though to myself, if that's the case, what's the difference between applying this and not applying anything at all? And I gave up on the product. Luckily, I only bought 1 bottle to give it a try :D

NARS - The Multiple (Cheek, Lip & Eye Stick)

The NARS - The Multiple stick is now my favourite makeup companion after my BB Cream or foundation routine, prior to the loose powder application (if I ever apply that). It sticks and blends into my BB Cream pretty well so far giving my cheeks a smooth and light blusher effect.

Ever since I started using the blush tint from Shu Uemura, I fell in love with the idea of cream based blusher. I would say that it's pretty long lasting if I did apply loose powder after using this, so that it gets hidden underneath the loose powder, giving it a protective coverage. Although this is much more expensive than the Shu Uemura blush tint, it is much easier to remove when it comes to my usual makeup remover process -- the makup remover tissue. However, as I bought this from Taiwan, it might not be on sale in many places. So far, I haven't found it on sale in Singapore yet.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars (0.5 due to the high cost involved). Anyway, with it's volume, it's going to last me quite a long time as I usually only use it on my cheek.

Loose Powder - The Skin Shop

During my Hong Kong trip around March this year, I bought this set of BB Cream with loose powder from one of the cosmetic stores along "Nu Ren Jie" (女人街).

Sasa - White Glitter Eyeliner

I've got this particular eyeliner from Hongkong and find it pretty interesting. My friend told me that using white eyeliner will give others an effect that I look more awake. However, personally, I felt that if I only apply this, it does look kind of strange, probably due to the fact that I'm not used to using white eyeliner. 

Also, it's pretty hard to get it stay on my eyelid. In the end, I ended up using it together with my favorite waterproof eyeliner. Upon which, I'll have a glittering effect of a dark color eyeliner. However, if I do apply it before the waterproof eyeliner, it'll cause the eyeliner to smudge a little. But the overall effect after applying looks pretty nice. :D

It'd be better if this is of a smudge proof formula as well.

Bought this item last Christmas during a Shu Uemura promotion at Raffles City. It's a pretty interesting useful item I have in my possession as it's much longer lasting than normal blusher. Thanks to it being a cream blusher, it's usually "hidden" under my loose powder, because of this, it doesn't fade off that easily like the normal blusher. Also, because of the same useful reasons, it's actually much harder to remove it off the face. 

Koji Linequeen Eyeliner (Waterproof)

I managed to get this particular easy to use, waterproof and affordable eyeliner during my hongkong trip in march. After conversion, it's about $23. It's pretty good as it gives a natural finish due to the natural black color. It has a rather fine felt tip that's looks like those art paint brush and draws in a similar way just that the brush won't have stray edges as the tip is those marker like type.

Body Shop - Liquid Eyeliner

Was using this particular eyeliner for about half a year previously. It's probably towards the last quarter of 2010 that I've started using it. Hence, it's actually the first eyeliner which I've ever used myself on a regular basis. It was pretty easy to draw I should say. As it's a liquid eyeliner so the moment you draw, you'll see a line there. The only thing is that although drawing is easy but to draw a nice looking eyeline was pretty challenging initially...

L'OREAL Super Liner - Hard to use

Yup! Hard to use is the only comment that I've got. The color is hard to come out of the eyeliner and it's kind of hard to draw and even after drawing, you can't really see that makeup at all. The felt tip is far too soft and hard to handle. There a lot more better products than this.

I'm glad it came free and I think it's almost totally useless though other than finding out that... It's indeed not very useful and I didn't have to waste my money on it LOL!

After the counter sales girl first helped me applied the makeup, I find the coverage of the foundation pretty amazing as it works almost like concealer. Yup, it was that good. The only issue is that, after getting a set to use myself, it seems like I can't quite achieve similar effects somehow. Perhaps it's the skills that I lacked.

As most of my friends say, I looked very fair. So can you imagine how light a translucent loose powder need to be in order for me to have a overall even fairer than my neck effect? Perhaps the packaging is one that I'd like but after realising that actually, if I just want a smaller packaging, I could have just order the box packaging from Amway instead and it'll cost much cheaper. So I really felt that after finishing this box, I'm going to change to another brand. Because the color is just not right. Will anyone on earth fit the color? I'm really not sure... It's certainly not for me!
