Hada Labo Lifting + Firming Milk

This Hada Labo Lifting + Firming Milk is the moisturizer product of the anti-aging series. It gives my skin a smooth moisturizing finish after usage. The only downside is that it doesn't come with SPF at all so I usually use this when I'm at home or at night rather than in the morning. As I'm a believer that SPF helps my skin by preventing unnecessary sun damages.

Although the bottle isn't very big, the volume can last pretty long as 1 gentle squeeze can usually cover my whole face and I only use it at night. So it's definitely going to last a very long time.. haha.. Probably around 6 months or so. After all, most of my moisturizers lasted pretty long with the exception of sleeping mask where I applied generously onto my skin.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 because of the missing SPF function

Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion

Under the strong recommendation of my good friend, I got myself a bottle of the Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion. From its range in the normal series, it looks like this should be the toner of the set, which is very moisturizing for a toner. It's now part of my daily routine of using it after my "toner" - Vichy Thermal Spa Water.

The feeling after applying this lotion is that my skin feels instantly revived of water and smooth to touch. So much so that I also bought it's moisturizer item of the anti-aging series which is also very moisturizing as well.

Vichy Thermal Spa Water

The Vichy Thermal Spa Water is pretty good according to what the sales girl described, it can be used as "toner", or help soothe rashes. So far the use for rashes and itchy skin reaction due to unknown reasons works pretty well, so does it's "toner" functions.

I had kept a bottle in the office just in case. :)

Re-Birth Placenta Anti-Wrinkle & Lanolin Cream

I would say that although this product feels a bit better than the other placenta product but probably because I had kept it for too long but it's not expired yet, it feels like of dry in term of texture and oily after application. So off into the bin, it went! Oopps.. :X

Ratings: 1 out of 5 stars. That 1 star is because it's a pity that I can't feel it when it was still very fresh and new.

Vichy Thermal Spa Water

The facial mist by Vichy is good and yet value for money. Although it's in a much more convenient size than the 300ml ones from other brands, it comes at similar price and was now even more affordable when I saw the limited time only sale at Watson's. It was originally $14.90 for a set of 2, now it's at buy 2 sets, get 1 set free promotion. Making it about $5 per bottle!

Furthermore, this product can be used for a very long time per bottle as I had been using it for quite sometime but there's still quite a lot left. At least 1.3 bottles based on my estimation. It's good in soothing the skin and allergies / slight rashes, at least for me. So whenever my skin is too try and started to itch, I just spray with some of the spa water and it ease the dryness pretty fast as well :D. Now, I'm mainly using it as toner replacement.

Shu Uemura: Phyto-Black Lift

The Shu Uemura: Phyto-Black Lift product sample that comes with the other Shu Uemura products that I've purchase was pretty good I felt. I quite like the feeling it gave me after applying. Easy to apply and leaves my face feeling soft and smooth after using it.

Shu Uemura: Black Lifting Range
I've tried various facial products, especially moisturizers, usually I didn't like them but this one is certainly good for my skin type and it's scent-free. The moisturizing feeling is great too. A product worth considering getting the next time round. Probably after I've finally finished the products in my room. I wonder how much does it cost...

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 the missing 0.5 is just for buffer in case I find something even better :D

Arnaud Eye Contour Care

Arnaud Eye Contour Care in the same series is also a pretty good product which helps in keeping the skin around my eyes moisturized hence, in a way minimizing the appearance of fine lines due to dryness. As for dark circle wise, I usually can't tell the difference so no comments on that. It's also a scent free product which is good for me.

Arnaud Cream Hydra Absolu

Arnaud Cream Hydra Absolu is a pretty moisturizing facial moisturizer as suggested by it's name. Although it's meant for the normal and combination skin type, it works fine for even people with dry skin like me too. Usually if I do use such products, I'll end up with severe outbreak due to the lack of moisture on my skin but this product doesn't cause that due to it's good moisturizing properties.

I'd recommend it to others even if you do have combination skin type, locking in the water is very important as it will help to reduce the overall amount of oil that your skin generates. Because, the skin will think that the level of moisture is enough so it doesn't need to generate that much. Keeping the water in also helps in preventing premature aging of the skin as well.

Most importantly for me, it's pretty much scent free having almost no smell at all, which I liked too. :)

Leimei Lanolin Essence Night Cream

My feedback on this product was that it was pretty much moisturizing or should I say that it's pretty oily as it was a little too rich for my skin. As such, I need to rub off the excess cream off my skin after applying it to my entire face.

The product comes with a rather weird wax smell. It has a strong firming effect as I could feel the tightening sensation of the product after applying it with slight tangling feeling as well. There was also a slight itchy feeling which makes me rub off the excess cream. Although this product was very affordable if you buy it from Australia but I wouldn't recommend it for use. As my dry skin wasn't suitable either. It was still too oily.

Ginvera - Marvel Gel (Nutri White)

The Ginvera Nutri White (Marvel Gel) is gentle to my skin, yet cleanses well. It helps in exfoliating my skin gently helping my skin to absorb better after each use. Due to it's deep cleansing properties, it helps to reduce the dirt stuck within my pores and hence, seems to be able to help in cleansing of black heads.

Olay Anti Aging Cream

I wonder if it's due to my skin being too dry or that the product is not smooth and moisturizing enough. I could feel the friction when applying the cream onto my skin. Despite the fact that it is a cream product, there's totally no oily feeling when using it, instead, I find it not moisturizing enough.

Cleansing Beauty Oil - Shu Uemura

Here's the cleansing oil samples that I got when I bought the Shu Uemura makeup. Unfortunately, I didn't quite like the cleansing oil feeling as it's rather greasy after use and during use. For a more moisturizing and oil free feeling, I'd rather use those cream based cleanser where it might not even foam. They have various cleansing oil for all skin types and no other type of cleanser so I'm opting out of their cleansing products. :X

Garnier: Aqua Defense (Essence)

Garnier: Aqua Defense
This is one particular cheap and good product I felt, it's sort of the 3rd or 4th bottle that I've bought so far. The good thing about this product is that it's very moisturizing and cooling. But probably cooling because of it's alcohol content. It's absorbed pretty well by the skin leaving no residues. Also, it doesn't have a oily feeling which makes it good for people with almost all skin types except for the more sensitive ones that can't take alcohol on their skin.

This is one hydrating product that I like a lot. Because of the great feeling it gives and the hydrating effect. Also because it's value for money. And I've came to realised that it's sold at a super undervalued price in Malaysia as compared to Singapore. It's like about S$15 but only <RMB$20 when purchased in Malaysia. I can't believe the price when I got there.

The Rice Ceramide Moisturizer

The Rice: Ceramide
Lasting Moisturizer
Unlike the toner in its category, this moisturizer isn't that well accepted by the skin as it doesn't gets absorbed that well. Also, it comes with a baby powder like scent, which I didn't exactly like. Quite regret getting it actually, should have just gotten only the toner.

The Rice Ceramide Toner

The Rice: Ceramide
Lasting Toner
I can't recall the exact pricing for this item but it's certainly between $10 - $20. For this kind of price to get a good moisturizing toner that's about 150ml, it's certainly worth the money. So far, I've used quite a number of toners and none of them actually beat this one in terms of the moisturizing effect and also that this toner didn't finish that fast.

  1. It lasted about a few months (> 3 months but can't recalled exactly how long)
  2. My skin loves it as it absorbs the toner pretty well. No residues and the skin feels smooth after using.
  3. Very moisturizing and it feels great!
  4. It helps in the overall moisturizing effect and making the skin moisturized for a longer period of time.
Rating: 5 out of 5. (I simply can't believe how amazing it is.)

Royalive Revitalizing Toner

Royalive Revitalizing Toner
My good friend gave me this toner as a gift, it's part of the Royalive Set, with 2 other items. I felt that the toner is indeed pretty good. It made me felt pretty cooling, clean yet mositurizing after applying it onto my face. However, the downside is that... it really finished pretty fast, it's like around 1mth plus no more le. :X

I'm already that the 2nd bottle btw. :D

Bio-Essence Tanaka White Essence

Bio-Essence Tanaka White Essence
Tried the Bio-Essence's Tanaka White (White & Firm Double Action Essence) and felt that it's probably the best product available in the Bio-Essence product range. By far, for someone with dry skin like me, this is the only product which I find to be pretty moisturizing. I didn't try out all their products but at least this one feels good on me. I like the light and almost nothing smell and the feeling when applying it onto my skin.

Watson's Collagen Intensive

Watson's Collagen Intensive
Bought this item from Watson's as it looking pretty interesting with it being a new item. After all, I love trying out such stuff. :P After buying and using, I felt that the design wasn't very good as the liquid can't flow out at all when I open the cap tip in an attempt to pour the contents out. In the end, the only way to get the contents out is to open the entire cap instead, which makes no sense that the bottle was actually designed this way.

Nokdu - Pure Foam Cleansing

Nokdu - Pure Foam Cleansing
After trying out the sample, I felt that although it's supposed to be for dry skin, it doesn't feel very moisturizing. You may argue that, but this is just a cleanser. But usually moisture rich cleanser doesn't give me a tight feeling with lots of "friction" when you touch the face, even after rinsing. And that's that feeling I've got from this particular product. I won't use it again although there's still 2 packs left.

For those with drier skin, this is not the product to go for ba. Don't waste your time!
