Laneige Water Sleeping Pack

The Laneige Water Sleeping Pack is a cooling and moisturizing sleeping mask. That aids in my sleep when used as per instructions. The gentle fragrance is designed to help us relax and sleep better at night. Usually, if I take a deep breathe holding this Sleeping Pack close to my nose, I felt relaxed and I usually sleeps better. :)

Although, it is not really as gentle as the DNA Replenishing Mask from Taiwan Magic Shop. It's usage of aiding in my sleep on top of keeping my face and neck moisturized is certainly great! Just beware that you shouldn't be using this on areas of your skin where there's peeling skin as it might hurt a little (usually one off incident for me) due to it's cooling properties.

Also, this sleeping pack can be used around your eyes like the eye cream to help keep the moisture around your eyes in as well. But you mustn't apply too much so that it doesn't get into the eyes of course.

Moisture Boost Sparkling Mask - Cyber Color

The Moisture Boost Sparkling Mask from Cyber Colors is selling at close to 75% discount when I bought this one from Sasa. The reason behind it is because they are clearing old stocks so they are currently selling these stocks at $15 per bottle instead of the usual price: $59. Very cheap isn't it? But the expiry date though is on Oct 2012, which is coming soon.

Since it's gentle enough for daily use, I decided to buy a bottle and give it a try. It's pretty cool and interesting to see how after applying the mask on cleansed dry skin, tiny bubbles began to form and covered the entire area that I applied it on. Also, I can feel slightly that the bubbles are forming but when it comes to the bubbles disappearing, it's a rather ticklish sensation. But this will only happen if you leave it on for few mins.

After washing it off, and my skin dried, it feels smoother and supple.

DNA Replenishing Mask - Magic Shop

I've got the DNA Replenishing Mask from Magic Shop during my Taiwan last year and this year March. I would say that it's pretty good as even when I got sun burnt skin, application of this sleeping mask helps to soothe my skin and replenish the moisture lost with a cooling sensation rather than burning sensation that I got when I apply a few other brands of sleeping masks.

I would say that the effect I get from this sleeping mask when use after application of moisturizer is much better than without moisturizer as it enhance the moisturizing effect. Which means, I wake up with a much more moisturized and supple skin as compared to a normal clear skin without the moisturizer part.

Price: TWD$499
Location where I got the 2nd tube: Taipei XiMenDing Eslite Shopping Mall level 1
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars (That's why I did get a 2nd tube)

Magic Shop - Facial Brightening Treatment Mask

I had bought this whitening mask and the hydrating one from Magic Shop during my Taiwan Trip. However, it seems like the sheet mask is pretty much over rated as both the whitening and hydrating mask feels about the same.

Just another normal mask but not very valued for money I felt. The sleeping mask was much better. After all, it's a buy 2 get 1 free promotion although the overall price still seems to be high than similar mask I'm getting in Singapore.

The sales person is very good at selling and I would say that their skill and service is very good. But still, as this is more towards another normal moisturizing mask that costs about twice the price. I wouldn't recommend it as a must try or buy product.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 as it does serve it's purpose just too expensive for a mask sold in Taiwan especially.

Heme - 24Hrs Hydrating Detox-White Night Jelly

The Heme 24Hrs Hydrating Detox-White Night Jelly is gentle and moisturizing. According to the various usage directions of similar products, such sleeping mask seems to be used on top of our moisturizer.

As usual, I wake up with a smooth and clear skin after use. In fact, it gets totally absorbed by my skin at around 30 mins after application. It feels cooling after application probably because of the jelly texture.

As for the detox and whitening effect, I can't really tell as I'm pretty fair and I'm not sure how it feels to have skin detox. Also, probably because recently, my skin was pretty clear from blemishes as well. Maybe because I'm so hardworking in using either sleeping mask or facial mask every night :D

Guardian Collagen Hydration Face Mask

The Guardian's Instant Collagen Hydration Mask is one of the more watery face mask that I've tried. When taken out of the plastic, it drips quite a bit. Although I have quite dry skin but I personally didn't quite like the overly rich (creamy) and watery feeling it gave me. So much so that even after using for like 15-20mins, I'll need to massage a lot of the remaining essence into my face and still, it's pretty wet. It takes quite a while more to wait for it to dry or get absorbed completely.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars, perhaps it functions as mentioned but it's just a bit too watery for me to accept. Luckily, it doesn't come with a scent so it gets 2 points :)

Red Wine Energizing Mask - Skin Healthy

The Red Wine Energizing Mask also comes in a set of 1 x facial mask and 1 pair of C-Shaped Eye mask like the 24 Hrs Hydrating Mask. For the facial mask itself, it has a moderate red wine smell which I didn't exactly like. As for the moisturizing and energizing portion, it works pretty well, leaving my skin soft, moisturized after use.

As usual, I use this mask at night so when I woke up the next morning, my skin looks pretty refreshed. There was just some minor residue which I can massage into my skin and go to sleep directly after use. No rinsing was required so it's pretty convenient for me.

Rating: 3 out of 5 because of the scent. I'd prefer one without the scent unless I like the smell :)

24 Hrs Hydrating Mask - Skin Healthy

The 24 Hrs Hydrating Mask from Skin Healthy is pretty value for money as it comes in a set of 1 x facial mask and 1 pair of C-Shaped Eye mask. I liked the hydrating mask as it gives me a creamy and moisturizing feeling and yet is not sticky after use. Most importantly, there is no scent at all.

After using the mask at night, all I need was to massage the remaining essence into my face and went to bed. When I wake up the next morning, my skin feels pretty refreshed. I quite like the simple usage and value for  money pricing as well as scent free part of the mask.

Watson's Stretchable Mask

Ever since Olay came out with a stretch mask, many other brands too started such mask series. Watson's is one of them. I would suggest that Watson's do more research and human trial before launching such mask.

My comments on the mask is that the ear hook is very tight as the size of the hook is a bit too small and is not exactly very stretchable. Luckily, the mask does fit the shape of my face exactly. I would say that the moisturizing effect was there but I didn't like that strong herbal ginseng like smell that comes with it. The nose and mouth holes are pretty small and hence when the edge rub against my skin a little as I breath, it started to itch a little.

I'm pretty certain that I wouldn't buy it ever again.

Neutrogena - Peel Mask

I've bought some Neutragena Fine Fairness Peel Mask from Watson's to try out some time back as it was selling at $2.95 per tube instead of the usual more expensive price in a 5 tube box pack. This is not a mask that will make your skin peel visibly or some kind of peel off mask. In fact, I still couldn't understand why is it called peel mask. It has a sand like texture although it is a wash off type of mask, this type of texture is similar to those very gentle scrub type of product. Hence, making it feel very strange.

Apple & Evening Primrose Mask - Beauty Buffet

The strong and sweet apple scent and moisturizing effect of the Apple and Evening Primrose Mask gave me a refreshing feeling after use.

Pumpkin Sleeping Masks - Pore Refining & Balancing

The Pumpkin Sleeping Masks gave my skin a tingling sensation with exfoliation effect. Because of this, I felt that it is not suitable for those with fragile skin to leave it on overnight.

Red Wine Collagen Essence Mask - Dermal

Similar to other Dermal masks, the Red Wine Mask is pretty moisturizing as well. As named, it has a light and gentle red wine scent. Other than that, it's probably pretty normal as compared to the other masks that I've tried so far.

Rating: 3 out of 5 (not too bad)

Black Pearl Mask - My Beauty Diary

My Beauty Diary's Black Pearl Mask comes with a good moisturizing effect. On top of that it also has a skin tightening effect, hence it's best not to smile or talk during usage.

Bulgarian White Rose Mask - My Beauty Diary

Got myself a few boxes of My Beauty Diary Masks and one of my favorite is the Bulgarian White Rose Mask. I love the scent of the white rose, probably due to my liking toward rose tea as well. Of course, I love the moisturizing effect too. :)

I can't wait to use the next one again tomorrow.

Bird's Nest Essence Mask - Watsons

Tried out the Bird's Nest Mask from Watson's during one of the sale. My feeling towards the mask is that it's pretty moisurizing and the scent is nice. Another thing to note is that this mask does comes with a certain level of tightening effect as well.

SKINLITE - Aloe Essence Mask

Here's the Aloe Essence Mask which I've got during the 1 for 1 Sasa sale. It's pretty good as it hydrates my skin, yet the amount of water contents on the mask is just nice. When applying the mask on my face, I feel enough hydration, yet there's no water dripping effect like the Silk Whitia Hydrating Mask. The scent of the mask is mild and pleasant. Looking forward to the next mask that I'm going to test out from the same series...

SKINLITE - Green Tea Essence Mask

The feeling from the Skinlite - Green Tea Essence Mask is pretty good just that I didn't quite like the green tea smell. It's moisturizing like the Aloe Essence Mask but the smell is a bit stronger. For those who like the scent of green tea, this is something you might love but it's certainly not for me. :/

Rating: 3 out of 5 (due to the smell)

SKINLITE - Royal Jelly Essence Mask

The Royal Jelly Essence Mask is one which I've got myself some time ago but not during sale from Sasa too. Unfortunately, it didn't feel as good as what I thought it would be. Somehow this particular mask gives me a sticky feeling and I don't like the smell either. If given a choice, I'd not buy this again the next time round.

The reason why I thought this might be good is because it's supposed to be "Royal Jelly Essence", and I've always been using Royal Jelly Body Foam from Ginvera and it feels good using it. Unfortunately, this mask didn't meet my expectations so.. too bad..

Rating: 0 out of 5. (Certainly won't use it ever again, not even if it's free)

Silk Whitia Hydrating Mask

Another Sasa's product which I've got myself. The Silk Whitia's highly concentrated collagen hydrating mask was indeed very hydrating, with just 1 use and my skin feels very hydrated after 15mins. After removing the mask, all I did was to massage the remaining essence into my skin and it remains hydrated till the next morning.

Rating: 4 out of 5 (as the water contents is so high that it does drips a little, otherwise, it's great!)
